Fun Friday Performance on 25 Feb

Dear Parents,

Our Senior Team will be putting up their first performance for the year 2011. They will be performing the pieces "The Last Rose" and "The Irish Tune" on 25 February (Fri) during the school's Fun Friday Period in the school hall. This will be their warm-up for the coming public performances in Sept (two of them!). Hopefully they will do well this Friday so that they will have more confidence for the public performances.

Just a gentle reminder...

• Attire: Strings Black Polo Tee (or a black short-sleeved shirt for new Senior members) with formal school shorts
• Venue: Meet at the library
• Time: 7am SHARP!
• Date: 25 Feb (this Friday!)

Co-Payment for Semester 1 (Senior Team)

Dear Parents,

This announcement is for Senior Team members.

A few boys have yet to submit their co-payment for semester one. Please submit your co-payment by 18 Feb (Fri) to Miss Pamela Leong or Miss Joyce Tan. (Note: P1 to P5 will pay $50 for semester one; P6 will pay $100 for both semester one and two)

Return SYF Tailcoats

Dear Parents,

This announcement is for boys who participated in last year's SYF.

Many boys have yet to return their tailcoats and we need to send it for dry-cleaning soon so that the boys would have clean tailcoats to wear for their coming performances!

Please return your tailcoats (if you have not done so) to Miss Pamela Leong by 18 February 2011 (Friday).

Strings Logbook

Dear Parents,

With the public performances, musical and other performances coming up, we hope to improve the boys' skills and monitor their progress and practices at home, we are introducing a system for both Junior and Senior teams.

The Log Book - just a simple notebook (the blue notebook will do fine) to serve as their logbook.

Boys have to practise the pieces given to them at home and note in this logbook when and how long did they practise it. This way, we hope to monitor their progress and sieve those boys who need extra practices or coaching in school.

Please bring this book along for the next practice. The teachers will remind them again next week if they are not informed. Thank you for your cooperation.

FUN FRIDAY PERFORMANCE

Dear Parents,
In order to expose our senior boys to more public performances, as well as to 'promote' our wonderful CCA :), we will be having a FUN FRIDAY Performance in the hall. Details are as follows:

Date: 25th February 2011
Reporting time: 7am
Reporting Venue: Library
Attire: Strings Black Polo T-shirt, FORMAL school shorts and school shoes (newcomers would not have the Strings shirt, therefore, please wear your own Black Polo Tee with as little design as possible)

Attendance is compulsory.
In view of this, we hope the boys will attend all practices (Morning and afternoon) so that we can showcase an outstanding performance infront of the whole school :)

Morning trainings for Senior Team

Dear Parents,
As of 7th February 2011, our senior team will be having morning trainings on
EVERY Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Pupils are to report at 7am SHARP at the library with their instruments.
Attendance will be taken and if the child is late or absent, the teacher-in-charge on that day will have to look for him. This is a new iniatiative by the school, thus we hope that you wld assist us in reminding your child.
